Thursday, December 15, 2011
Courier Mail - Lydia & Codie
THE Brisbane branch of Vivien's Model Management will celebrate the festive season tonight at hip new Valley nightclub Oh Hello!
There's plenty for the agency to celebrate, with a strong stable of Queensland talent blazing successful trails locally, interstate and internationally this year.
Codie Young has just finished a shoot for Italian Vogue, Anna Pembroke has been living in the French capital and working between London, Paris and Hong Kong.
Chelsea Donaldson is living and working in London while Avril Alexander is based in New York.
Lydia Hunt has made her second trip to Japan while Rebekah Charlton (pictured) and Rachel Hatch have carved out a niche in the emerging Indian market.
Eliza Humble has been based in New York but is back in Brisbane for Christmas and will work in Sydney at the beginning of next year.
Johanna Creagh, of Vivien's, said Queensland models were sought after for their natural and healthy looks.

Codie's Interview for Opening Ceremony
Your neighborhood (in NY): Hell's Kitchen
Hometown: Sunshine Coast, Australia
Occupation: Model
Astrological sign: I'm a Scorpio.
What's your spirit animal? A wolf.
What is something about you that no one would expect? I really love spending time by myself; I don't really get lonely. I like to go on my own adventures and explore by myself. I'm not much of a people person, but most people know that. Haha.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a vet, however I have a phobia of needles and blood creeps me out... So that didn't really work out.
If you could steal one thing from today’s shoot, what would it be? I would take this AMAZING COAT with the collar, that also goes all the way to the floor. I really think it's such an amazing piece!
Essential photo shoot song? Depends on the shoot. I think the music should always relate to the character the client wants you to be for that particular job.
Most prized possession? I have this white gold locket with flowers carved in the front. My parents gave it to me for my 17th birthday and I always have it on me.
Best gift you’ve ever given? I don't know if I could pick one. I don't think a good present has to to with how much you spend on it, but what it is and how it relates to whoever it's for. See, I recently found Zoe (my older sister) the best present ever for Chrissy! I can't wait to give it to her. The best gifts are the ones you find when you aren't looking.
Best gift you’ve ever received? I have received a lot of good gifts, I couldn't pick one!
What's the most played song on your iPod? At the moment it would be "She's A Genius" by JET.
Childhood pet:I had a golden Labrador called Murphy, two cats––Tess and Aggie––and a turtle named Fred.
If you were on a deserted island––5 necessities:
1. A private yacht
2. With a massive painting studio with endless supplies
3. My family
4. A personal chef
5. And some friends.
What would you choose as your last meal on earth?
My mum's chicken and sweetcorn soup, chocolate mud cake, fruit salad, raspberry gelato, caramels from this chocolate place in Paris, pancakes (with whipped cream and strawberries), my dad's steak, salmon, my older sister's fried rice, my little sister's chocolate slice, peaches, guacamole, French bread rolls, fresh juice from the corner juice shop near where I stay in NYC, popcorn, carrots, meat pie from the shop near my house in Australia, Vegemite on toast, fairy bread, raspberries, and probably a bunch of other things.
